This is remembrance day week, with the ceremony on Wednesday at the Memorial on the lawns of the Legislature at 11. I will be at Oaklands Elementary School on Tuesday to participate in the Assembly there as well. I look forward to visiting many of the local Legions to say thanks to the veterans with my friend Rob Fleming.

Today is the groundbreaking ceremony for "The 834" on Johnson Street. it is private market development, but is affordable entry level, and sale are to people who dont need cars. It is the largest residential development to break ground this year and can be used as rentals as there are no restrictions under the strata bylaws.
Today we launch a new homeless initative, helping people move from streets to homes. United Way and BC Housing came together to support this Coalition to End Homelessness effort. Working with the private sector and BC Housing to secure affordable rents, and all the support service organizations, we coordinate, support people in their homes.
